
This matcha lemonade is the perfect, refreshing & energizing drink to enjoy on a hot summer day!
If you're new to drinking matcha, this is a great recipe to to ease yourself into it's earthy flavour.
Unlike coffee, matcha provides a clean and sustainable source of energy without the crash and jitters making it a great alternative. It provides so many added benefits like l-theanine which helps improve mental focus, it's rich in antioxidants, supports detoxification, boost immunity and so much more!
Ingredients
1 tsp pure matcha powder (I use Lake&oak's pure matcha)
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tsp honey (adjust to preferred sweetness)
Ice
Filtered water
Directions
Boil water and sift matcha powder into a bowl (sifting the powder prevents clumps to improve the texture)
Add a splash of hot water to the matcha (just enough to mix it, roughly 2-3 tbsp) and honey.
Whisk the matcha, hot water and honey together.
In a cup add ice, filtered water, lemon juice & matcha mix then stir together
