Gut Healing Turkey Chilli Recipe

Turkey Chilli Recipe

This turkey chilli is a recipe your buds and gut will love! Packed with fiber, protein and complex carbohydrates this chilli is the perfect recipe for cozy season.

It makes a great meal prep lunch thats easy to throw together and heat up on the fly. I also love pairing it with Siete tortillas for some extra crunch

FODMAP hack: If high FODMAP foods irritate your symptoms, leave the chunks of garlic and onion whole and let them simmer with the ingredients to the end. This way you will get the flavour without the tummy ache!

Ingredients

  • 650g lean ground turkey

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes

  • 1 can peeled tomatoes

  • 1 can kidney beans

  • 1 cup bone broth

  • 1 cup frozen corn

  • 1/2 yellow onion

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 3 tbsp chilli powder

  • 2 tbsp siete spicy taco seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Chop onions and garlic and sauté on medium heat

  2. Add chopped sweet potatoes and cook on medium-high for 5 minutes

  3. Add in ground turkey

  4. Once turkey is cooked, add tomatoes, bone broth, tomato paste, beans, corn and seasoning

  5. Simmer on medium heat for 15-20 minutes or until sweet potatoes are fully cooked (you don’t want them to get too mushy)

  6. Store in fridge for up to 5 days

Enjoy ✌🏻💚
